Committee Chairman

Mike joined the Committee late in 2022 following the retirement of Ian Harvey the inaugural chair.

Mike is Head of Specialty Claims for PRO Global in their London office, as chairman of the committee he is not their representative but a neutral and governing party.

Mike’s role covers managing and liaising on the following with the sub-committees and the LCL board:

Policy (Influencing): To focus on lobbying, consultation responses, raising awareness of members and partner strategy.

Sensitive Claims (Abuse claims): To provide a focus to abuse/care claims.

Claims Strategy (Technical Claims Issues): To focus on specific claims issues/development of strategies, emerging risks and coordination of members efforts in respect of same (within the rules).

Market Engagement (Partner Strategy): Identification of relevant partner organisations and determine engagement strategy.
