Leslie-Ann Giovnilli, Head of Academy

Leslie-Ann Giovnilli has been described as the glue that keeps the Association together; as one of the founders in 1998 and ongoing Leslie-Ann has forgotten more about IRLA and legacy than she would admit.  In 2021 she was recognised for her work, especially during covid,  with the Services to Legacy Award. Leslie-Ann is MD of AMS (Outsourcing) Services set up in 1999 to provide support staff for the Association.

Leslie-Ann is part of the Governance Group and her role is –

  1. As Head of Academy works with a wide range of individuals to find the common ground and goals that everyone is comfortable working towards for possible economy of scale training requirements
  2. To maintain a knowledgeable understanding of the current and anticipated issues or topics relevant to the market
  3. To encourage involvement from the board and wider membership to commit to the professional standards and training programme of the Association.
  4. Chairs and works with a group of sponsors and suppliers to create the content and plan annual Congress; seeks and signs-up sponsors, board hosts and speakers
  5. Obtains volunteer trainers, hosts, and venues for the Association
  6. Considers the Associations Corporate Social Responsibilities and maintains a watching brief on possible Inclusion & Diversity changes that IRLA as a trade body could suggest.
